Pre-Surgical Bloodwork
Pre-surgical bloodwork, often conducted before a spay or neuter procedure in veterinary medicine, plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of the animals. It serves as a vital diagnostic tool, offering valuable insights into the overall health.
The results of the bloodwork inform the veterinary team’s decision-making process. If any abnormalities or health concerns are detected, they can adjust the surgical plan accordingly. In some cases, additional tests or treatments may be required before proceeding with the spay or neuter surgery.
Spay / Neuter
Spaying and neutering, commonly referred to as sterilization procedures are fundamental aspects of responsible pet ownership and animal welfare. These surgical interventions offer numerous benefits to both individual animals and the broader community.
Cats
Must be at least 3 lbs
Dogs
Must be at least 3 months of age.
Dogs over 80 lbs. are not accepted due to space limitations
Other Surgeries
We also offer non-elective (non-emergency) surgical procedures such as mass removals, limb amputations, eye removals, etc. These procedures will require an initial consultation and review of the pet’s medical records. A rabies vaccine is required for ALL pets per Georgia law. If your pet is not current on a rabies vaccine, one will be administered for an additional fee at their appointment.
